Our cranes are built to meet specific requirements—not based on the idea that “it’ll work out somehow.”
Load capacity, stability, motion sequences, existing buildings, production processes, and much more are factored into every project plan from the very beginning, always in line with our motto: think ahead, plan for the future, and design intelligently.
The result: robust crane systems, clever custom solutions, and quality made in Germany.

Crane Construction with Technical Expertise
Building a crane is a complex project. Every crane system must be precisely tailored to its future tasks, regardless of the areas in which it will ultimately be used.
Static and dynamic calculations are therefore just as much a part of crane construction as careful planning of load-bearing capacity and stability. At the same time, all safety requirements must be taken into account. DIN EN 13001 serves as a key basis for the design of cranes.
Safety is not an accessory
At Lietmann, safety isn’t an afterthought—it’s the starting point. Modern cranes are equipped with intelligent monitoring systems that track operating conditions and help detect or prevent errors early on.
Load limit switches prevent overloading and help ensure safe crane operation. Depending on the system, additional technical safety devices may be included. After all, when dealing with heavy loads, there’s one thing you shouldn’t rely on: luck.

From Concept to Installation
A crane system consists of numerous components that must work together precisely. Design and manufacturing are therefore closely linked.
At Lietmann, custom crane systems and accessories are designed using the expertise gained from over 40 years of industry experience and then manufactured at our production facility in Glandorf, near Osnabrück.
Crane assembly is often carried out in modules. These are transported to the job site and professionally assembled there. This allows even challenging projects to be completed efficiently.
Made in Germany since 1983
One thing has remained the same: our commitment to quality. Our crane systems are manufactured in Glandorf and are therefore “Made in Germany.” Customers from a wide range of industries rely on our expertise and experience.
Experience That Is Passed On
Our team combines many years of experience with fresh ideas and a practical approach to our customers’ needs.
What Sets Us Apart
That’s why our employees work closely with our customers. We don’t just look at the individual crane—we consider the entire application. What loads need to be moved? What paths are planned? What does the material flow look like? What interfaces are involved? And where must the process remain simple at all costs?
This approach leads to solutions that are technically well-thought-out and economically sound.
